Poetry Downtown

In 2001, Literary Arts began Poetry Downtown as a way to bring poets of national renown to Portland.
This year we are pleased to announce we’ve moved the series to the Newmark Theatre to accommodate our growing audience.

The 2008 series features readings and conversations with poets Li-Young Lee, Eavan Boland, Edward Hirsch and Lucille Clifton.

To support the true production costs of the series, we encourage you to purchase a Patron subscription for $100. You’ll sit less than 25 feet away from the stage for all four readings and $35 of the subscription cost may be considered a tax-deductible donation to Literary Arts.
