Sundays, September 14-October 5, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. (4 classes)
This class will focus on arranging a group of poems into a cohesive chapbook manuscript of 16-24 poems. Topics covered include ways of selecting and ordering poems, and composing a manuscript where individual poems cohere as a satisfying whole. Class time will also be devoted to workshopping poems and writing new ones in response to other poems in manuscripts in progress. You do not need permission to register, but participants should have either a draft of a chapbook manuscript, or at least 6-8 poems that they plan on developing into a full chapbook.
