Incite: Queer Writers Read is a curated, bimonthly reading series for Queer writers. Incite’s hope is to create conversation, connection, and greater understanding both within the Queer community and with other communities. Hosted by Vinnie Kinsella and Jennifer Perrine.

Ching-In Chen

Ching-In Chen is a genderqueer Chinese American hybrid writer, community organizer and teacher. They are author of The Heart's Traffic and recombinant (2018 Lambda Literary Award for Transgender Poetry winner) as well as chapbooks to make black paper sing and Kundiman for Kin :: Information Retrieval for Monsters (Leslie Scalapino Award Finalist). Chen is also co-editor of The Revolution Starts at Home: Confronting Intimate Violence Within Activist Communities and Here Is a Pen: an Anthology of West Coast Kundiman Poets. They have received fellowships from Kundiman, Lambda, Watering Hole, Can Serrat, Imagining America and Jack Straw Cultural Center. www.chinginchen.com

Emily Moon

Emily Moon (she/her) is a transgender poet from Portland, Ore. Emily began writing poetry in 1971 when thirteen. She stepped out of the Poetry Closet in 2011, the year she founded the Estacada Poetry Project. EPP published Take a Leap, an anthology of Estacada area poets, in 2012. She is Editor at First Matter Press. Her book It’s Just You and Me, Miss Moon, was published by First Matter Press prior to her taking on an editorial role. Her work includes appearances in or forthcoming from Pile Press, Hecate Magazine, Firefly Review, Mulberry Literary, Labyrinth Anthologies, and Brazos River Review.

Michelle Ruiz Keil

Michelle Ruiz Keil is an author, playwright, and tarot reader with an eye for the enchanted and way with animals. She is the author of the critically acclaimed young adult novels All of Us With Wings and Summer In The City of Roses. Her writing for adults can be found most recently in Bitch, Cosmonauts Avenue, and the anthology Dispatches From Anarres: Tales in Tribute to Ursula K. Le Guin. She is a 2021 Tin House Scholar and the recipient of residencies from Hedgebrook, The Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, and the Bloedel Reserve. Born in San Francisco, Michelle has lived in Portland, Oregon for many years where she curates the fairytale reading series All Kinds of Fur and lives with her family in a cottage where the forest meets the city.
