James Galvin is the author of eight collections of poetry, most recently EVERYTHING WE ALWAYS KNEW WAS TRUE (Copper Canyon, 2016). He is also the author of the nonfiction book THE MEADOW, and the novel FENCING THE SKY. His honors include a Lannan Literary Award, and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Ingram Merrill Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Galvin is a member of the permanent faculty of the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop. This reading is presented in partnership with Portland State University’s MFA program.
