Lit Crawl Portland is heading into its fourth year as the kickoff to the Portland Book Festival presented by Bank of America. Each year we love watching the energy and creativity that authors, presses, journals, and organizations bring to their Lit Crawl events.
This year, to help you make the most of your proposal, we’re gathering organizers for an informal chat about what makes a great Lit Crawl event. We’d love to hear from past presenters and meet new groups looking to collaborate.
We’ll have a few ideas to share and some invited guests lined up to speak, and then we’d like to hear from YOU about what’s worked in the past. Topics can include, but certainly aren’t limited to the following:
Teaming up and “theming up” for optimum success and reach
Adapting your event to a noisy venue
Planning for a tight timeline
Diversifying your lineup
Whether you’ve put on a Lit Crawl program in the past, or you’re thinking about an event for the first time, join us for this opportunity to get acquainted and share your experiences and hopes. We value your feedback and continued involvement in this evening of madcap literary hilarity!
