Nanobots Exist: A History of Humanism in Lists. A Craft Talk by Megan Levad

Sat, Sep 12, 2015 from 2:00 am - 4:00 pm PDT
925 SW Washington Street Portland, OR 97205

2015 Wrolstad Contemporary Poetry Series author Megan Levad (Why We Live in the Dark Ages) will give a craft talk highlighting the poetic tradition of list making. From Rilke to Inger Christensen and beyond, poets have used lists to take inventory of the human experience and to ponder the nature of existence itself. Levad will discuss the literary lineage that led her to this form, which shapes much of Why We Live in the Dark Ages.

Creative writing students and emerging poets specifically encouraged to attend! Refreshments. Books for sale. Reception follows.

Megan Will also be appearing at Literary Arts and reading from Why We Live in the Dark Ages on Thursday September 10th.
