Literary Arts is pleased to present a reading with 2017 Oregon Book Awards authors in Enterprise, Oregon, on Friday, September 8 at 7:00 p.m. The reading takes place at the Fishtrap House, 400 E Grant Street.
The authors appearing will be:
Joyce Creswell, winner of the Ken Kesey Award for her novel A Great Length of Time. Based on a true story, A Great Length of Time offers a fresh look at the Civil War and the tangled roots of America’s most persistent contradictions.
Bill Lascher, finalist in nonfiction for Eve of a Hundred Midnights. The book recounts the story of two newlywed journalists who together endured bombs in wartime China and were chased by Japanese forces across the Pacific.
Eliot Treichel, winner of the Readers Choice Award for A Series of Small Manuevers. This young adult novel features Emma, who inadvertently causes an accident that claims her father’s life on a wilderness canoe trip, and struggles to reconcile her sense of identity with memories of their strained relationship.
This event is presented in partnership with Fishtrap and is supported by the Oregon Arts Commission.
