Amanda Coplin, the winner of the 2014 Oregon Book Awards Readers’ Choice Award, will appear at the Albany Public Library (2450 14th Avenue SE) for an author talk and reading on Wednesday, May 7th at 6:30 p.m. This reading is free and open to the public.
Amanda Coplin was born in Wenatchee, Washington. She received her BA from the University of Oregon and MFA from the University of Minnesota. The Orchardist, her first novel, won a Barnes & Noble Discover Award. In 2013, Coplin was named one of the National Book Foundation’s 5 Under 35 authors. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
Coplin was selected as a finalist for the 2014 Oregon Book Awards and won the Readers’ Choice Award.
