Oregon Book Awards Finalists Panel: Drama

Join us for a panel discussion with the 2023 Oregon Book Award finalists for the Angus Bowmer Award in Drama. The panel will be moderated by Conor Eifler, the 2021 winner of the Angus Bowmer Award for “You Cannot Undo This Action.”

Conor Eifler

Conor is a writer, actor and sometimes banjo-picker based in Portland. He attended The University of Portland and apprenticed at Actors Theatre of Louisville. He currently works at an independent bookstore.

Sara Jean Accuardi

Sara Jean Accuardi’s plays have been presented throughout the United States. She has won the International Thomas Wolf Playwriting Competition, a Drammy Award for Outstanding Original Script, and was an O’Neill National Playwrights Conference finalist. She is a proud member of LineStorm Playwright and holds an MFA from Northwestern University.

E. M. Lewis is an award-winning playwright and opera librettist, recipient of the Steinberg Award and Primus Prize from the American Theater Critics Association. Her work has been produced around the world, and published by Samuel French. She is the Mellon Foundation Playwright-in-Residence at Artists Repertory Theater. Member: Dramatists Guild.

Rich Rubin

Rich Rubin's plays have been staged throughout the U.S., as well as in Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Mexico. His full-length plays include Picasso in Paris (winner, Julie Harris Playwright Award) and three previous finalists for the Oregon Book Award.

Cynthia Whitcomb

C.S. Whitcomb is a playwright , screenwriter, author and teacher. She has had thirty films and six plays produced. She has been nominated for Emmy, Drammy, Humanitas, WGA, Edgar, and Bowmer Awards. She was the 2022 recipient of the Stewart Holbrook Award.
