Portland-based writers Sossity Chiricuzio, Vinnie Kinsella, and Tammy Lynne Stoner read from their personal works. This pop-up is presented in collaboration with Incite: Queer Writers Read

Incite: Queer Writers Read is a curated monthly reading series for Queer writers hosted by Kate Carroll de Gutes and Kate Gray. Incite’s hope is to create conversation, connection, and greater understanding both within the Queer community and with other communities.

Sossity Chiricuzio

Sossity Chiricuzio is a queer femme outlaw poet, a radical working class storyteller. What her friends' parents often referred to as a bad influence, and possibly still do. A 2015 Lambda Fellow, she writes as activism, connection, and survival. Her work has appeared in a variety of publications including Adriennegreat weather for MEDIA, and Lunch Ticket, as well as anthologies like The Remedy: Queer And Trans Voices On Health And Health Care, and Not My President.

Vinnie Kinsella

Vinnie’s love for books began in the second grade, when he worked with his fellow students to write and illustrate a story about the adventures of an ice-cream-loving giraffe. Since then he has worked as a writer, editor, book designer, publisher, workshop presenter, and college instructor. He is the editor of Fashionably Late: Gay, Bi, and Trans Men Who Came Out Later in Life and the author of A Little Bit of Advice for Self-Publishers.

Tammy Lynne Stoner

Tammy Lynne Stoner’s work has been selected for more than a dozen anthologies and literary journals. Her first novel, Sugar Land, is coming out in 2018 with Red Hen Press. She’s the winner of a SLS Seminar to Kenya and loser of a Million Writers Award. Stemming from what her grandmother calls her “gypsy blood”, Tammy has lived in 15 cities, working as a biscuit maker, a medical experimentee, a forklift operator, a gas station attendant, and a college instructor, among other odd jobs. She’s also the publisher of Gertrude journal and GERTIE - a quarterly, queer book club, based in in Portland, OR, where she lives with her lady-friend and their three kids.
