Pop-up: Juan Antonio Trujillo

Tue, Nov 17, 2020 from 1:00 pm - 1:15 pm PST
#PDXBookFest

Free

Portland-based writer and filmmaker Juan Antonio Trujillo shares poems in both English and Spanish in this reading filmed at the Portland Art Museum. Trujillo is a member of the Los Porteños writing group, who are dedicated to raising Latinx and to raising awareness of diverse languages, canons, stories and cultures.

Catch this reading on Literary Arts’ Instagram Stories on November 17th, or stream it anytime at PDXBookFest.org.

The pop-up readings are a partnership between the Portland Book Festival and the Portland Art Museum where Festival writers are thematically paired with artworks in the Museum. A celebration of creatives, the pop-ups highlight the intersections of visual art and the written word. Trujillo’s pop-up reading was filmed in the Mesoamerican Art collection at the Portland Art Museum, paired with a wood, shell, and turquoise mask.
