Slam Poetry Youth Workshops and Public Open Mics (Free)

Literary Arts is hosting slam poetry youth workshops and open mics at our event space in downtown Portland. Led by experienced performance poets, these youth workshops are designed to inspire Portland-area high school students to share their original work at poetry slams and readings. Each workshop will be followed by an open mic session for both youth and adults.

Monday, December 8

925 SW Washington St. Portland, OR

This session will be led by Outspoken Bean, WITS Program Coordinator and Meta-Four Coach in Houston, Texas.

Youth workshop: 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
(Free and open to public high school students in Multnomah County.)

Open mic: 5:30 p.m.
(Free and open to the public.)

Literary Arts is also hosting workshops and open mics next year:
Join us on January 17 with S. Renee Mitchell, February 28 with Turiya Autry, and March 7 with Desmond Spann.
