Join Literary Arts for the ninth annual Verselandia! city-wide youth poetry slam. Students from local public high schools compete in individual school slams to qualify for this grand slam event. Verselandia! is a powerful community moment to show young people that their voices matter. This city-wide slam features students from Parkrose, Roosevelt, Metropolitan Learning Center, Benson, Lincoln, Gresham, Franklin, Madison, Wilson, Jefferson, Grant, and Cleveland high schools competing for poetic glory. 2019/2020 Portland Arts & Lectures: Colson Whitehead
