ON THE TENTH SEASON OF THE ARCHIVE PROJECT, ENJOY DISCUSSIONS FROM PORTLAND ARTS & LECTURES, PORTLAND BOOK FESTIVAL, AND OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS FROM OUR HOME IN PORTLAND, OREGON AND BEYOND.
David J.S. Pickering is a native Oregonian, having grown up and lived much of his life in the working-class culture of the North Oregon Coast. His first poetry collection, Jesus Comes to Me as Judy Garland, received the 2020 Airlie Prize; the book is forthcoming from Airlie Press in September. David never aspired to have a website, so he is a bit nonplussed to find that he now has one: www.pickpoetry.com. David recently retired from a 30-year career in human resources management—wearing shorts and t-shirts each day continues to thrill him. He and his husband, Stephen, live in Hillsboro.
Our events, classes, and seminars bring the community together to hear, learn, and discuss the most compelling issues and ideas of our day. We hope you will join us in our downtown Literary Arts space, online, and at partnering venues across Portland and Oregon.
