This seminar meets at the Portland Art Museum.

This Delve Seminar meanders through museum galleries and pages of books, exploring commonalities in ways poets and visual artists recreate human experience. We will absorb their shared vocabulary through a multisensory examination of objects, images and texts, and through personal engagement with works in the Portland Art Museum collections, as well as our own memories. Texts include Mark Doty; plus an assortment of poems, short fiction, and essays by modern and contemporary writers.

Reading List: Still Life with Oysters and Lemon by Mark Doty, plus supplementals and artwork viewing

NOTE: This seminar reserves several spots for PAM members. If you are a PAM member, please indicate so in your registration (or via email to dao@literary-arts.org).
