Class meets at Literary Arts, 925 SW Washington

You’ve finished a draft. Now what? In this one-day workshop we will discuss the best strategies for making your work shine. Bring your project—a story, novel excerpt, or essay—to class and we’ll make a revision plan to suit you and your work.

Natalie Serber is the author of the story collection Shout Her Lovely Name (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) a New York Times Notable Book of 2012 and a summer reading pick from O, the Oprah Magazine, and an Oregonian Top 10 Books of the Pacific Northwest and an Indie Next Pick. Her memoir, Community Chest, was published by Two Sylvias Press. Her fiction has appeared in The Bellingham Review, Gulf Coast, Inkwell, Hunger Mountain. Essays and reviews have appeared in, The New York Times, O, the Oprah Magazine, Salon, The Rumpus, The Oregonian, The San Francisco Chronicle, Fourth Genre, and Hunger Mountain.

All of our writing classes have at least one scholarship position available, made possible by a generous gift from Dennis Steinman. CLASS LIAISONS: All classes have one liaison position. Liaisons receive free tuition in exchange for light duties before and after each class meeting.
