Instructor: Matthew Minicucci
Intensive Generative Incubator
For writers at all levels

Limited to 10 students

This will be an intensely generative class. With the rise in prevalence of shorter forms, the micro-essay has come to the forefront of what experimental American essays can be. Participants will generate several possible beginnings for micro-essays, and workshop at least one.  Expect to write, share and come away with several possible beginnings for micro-essays.

Matthew Minicucci is the author of two collections of poetry: Small Gods, finalist for the 2016 Green Rose Prize from New Issues Press, and Translation (Kent State University Press, 2015). His poetry and essays have appeared in or are forthcoming from numerous journals including The Believer, The Gettysburg Review, Oregon Humanities, The Southern Review, and the Virginia Quarterly Review, and he is an Oregon Literary Fellowship recipient.
