The Literary Arts Center
Literary Arts is located in a storefront space in downtown Portland, Oregon. In addition to our administrative offices, our center houses two dynamic event spaces designed for meetings, readings, or receptions.
In accordance with our mission to engage readers, support writers, and inspire the next generation with great literature, we open our center to other arts and nonprofit organizations to host a diverse array of events. We do this through our @LiteraryArts programming, where we partner with local and national organizations to present free literary events, and through private rentals.

Event Space Details
Our two event spaces, The Library and The Studio, can be set up in several different configurations:
The smaller of our two spaces, The Library, can hold one large table seating up to 20 or four smaller tables seating up to 8 each. Folding chairs can also be arranged for auditorium-style seating, or all furniture can be removed for standing receptions.
Our larger event space, The Studio, can hold one large table seating up to 25 or eight small tables seating up to 4 each. Folding chairs can also be arranged for auditorium-style seating, or all furniture can be removed for standing receptions.
Our center also includes two ADA-approved restrooms and one small kitchen space equipped with a convection microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, and several items for catering.
For presentations, each event space is equipped with a built-in projector. We also have wireless Internet, a PA system, a lectern, a rolling whiteboard, a conference phone, a lectern, and either tall chairs or lounge chairs for interview-style events. Both rooms are wired for broadcasting.
