Ekphrastic Worldbuilding (Grades 9-12)

Saturday, November 4, 2023, 10:00 a.m.
1237 SW 10th Ave Portland, OR 97205

Free, registration required

In this workshop, we’ll learn how to build a fictional world and add texture to imaginary settings. Whether our story takes place on a modern-day Earth or on a planet far, far away, a fictional world and how characters interact with it takes some planning! Using details taken directly from art in the space, students will leave the workshop with an invented setting to use as they please.

This class is a part of Portland Book Festival 2023. Portland Book Festival passes sold separately. For more information about Portland Book Festival, visit pdxbookfest.org.

This workshop is at the Rental Sales Gallery, directly behind the Art Museum on SW 10th and Jefferson.
