Portland Book Festival 2021 will be a hybrid event.
This year’s Portland Book Festival will present virtual programming, brought to you by Bank of America, the week of November 8–12, 2021, and in-person events on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Portland Art Museum and Portland’5, as well as virtual and in-person writing workshops at our downtown Literary Arts space.
This year’s VIRTUAL Festival programming is presented by Bank of America. From November 8–12, Portland Book Festival will feature authors in a variety of virtual events, from live-streamed discussions to podcast and radio broadcasts. Access to the Festival’s virtual platform will be via a sliding scale ($0–$100) pass; one pass includes access to all five days of virtual events.
Passes for the single-day IN-PERSON Festival will be $15 in advance, and $25 day-of. All adult passes include admission to Portland Art Museum, and a $5 voucher attendees can use toward a book purchase the day of the festival. Attendees 17 and under and/or with high school ID enjoy free admission with a youth pass. The in-person event will include a book fair and food trucks.
Please note: All attendees to the in-person Festival must show proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours of the event date to attend. Mask must be worn in accordance with local mandates. Read more here.
Day of the Festival, please be sure to keep ID and proof of vaccination or negative test results with you when enjoying the Portland Book Festival. In-person Festival attendees may be required to show proof of vaccination or negative test results when entering indoor venues even if previously provided at the box office tent, and/or advance pickup.
