ON THE TENTH SEASON OF THE ARCHIVE PROJECT, ENJOY DISCUSSIONS FROM PORTLAND ARTS & LECTURES, PORTLAND BOOK FESTIVAL, AND OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS FROM OUR HOME IN PORTLAND, OREGON AND BEYOND.
Andrea Nguyen is an author, teacher, and consultant in the San Francisco Bay Area. Born in Vietnam, she came to the United States at the age of six. She has written six cookbooks: Vietnamese Food Any Day, Into the Vietnamese Kitchen, The Banh Mi Handbook, Asian Dumplings, Asian Tofu and The Pho Cookbook, which won the 2018 James Beard Foundation Award for the Best Single Subject Book. She also edited Unforgettable, a biography cookbook about culinary icon Paula Wolfert. Andrea’s food writing has appeared in the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Saveur, Lucky Peach, and Cooking Light.
Our events, classes, and seminars bring the community together to hear, learn, and discuss the most compelling issues and ideas of our day. We hope you will join us in our downtown Literary Arts space, online, and at partnering venues across Portland and Oregon.
