Emily Chenoweth
Emily Chenoweth is the author of Hello, Goodbye, which was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award; co-author of the middle-grade series Klawde: Evil Alien Warlord Cat; and a collaborator with James Patterson on many bestselling novels. A former English teacher and fiction editor at Publishers Weekly, Emily has also written for People, Self, Tin House, Plazm, Bookforum, and Portland Monthly. She sends out free writing prompts every Friday via her Substack, Good Ideas.

Discussions will be focused on character development and plot and how to chart the next steps with your novel.

Participants will spend time writing to a variety of prompts, sharing their work with classmates, and learning tips and tricks for creating and maintaining their writing practice.
