Janice Bond

Written and illustrated by Janice Bond, A Zebra Plays Zither was inspired by her love of illuminated letters and language, pen and ink, and watercolor. Bond is also a printmaker. She studied art at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. Bond lives, works, and creates in Portland, Oregon. She used pen and ink with watercolor to create animals and instruments in this book.
