From Idea to Manuscript: Crafting Your Picture Book: Tuesdays

April 23 - June 11, 2024, Tuesdays, 5:00-7:00 p.m. (eight sessions)

$385

We’ve added a second section! Have you ever wondered how to turn your brilliant idea into a captivating picture book? In this 8-week course, you’ll learn the art of crafting picture books that leave a lasting impression. We’ll explore the world of children’s literature, studying beloved classics and contemporary favorites, to inspire your creativity. Through engaging lessons and hands-on workshops, you’ll develop a picture book manuscript from concept to completion. By the end of the course, you’ll have a polished manuscript ready to submit to agents and publishers, along with a deep understanding of the picture book market and the tools to navigate it successfully.

Access Program
We want our writing classes and Delves to be accessible to everyone, regardless of income and background. We understand that our tuition structure can present obstacles for some people. Our Access Program offers writing class and Delve tuitions at a reduced rate. Most writing classes have at least one access spot available.

Please apply here for access rate tuition. Contact Susan Moore at susan@literary-arts.org if you have questions.
