From Feeling to Form: Shaping Your Picture Book
$445
This course is for writers who already have an idea, a feeling, or a story they want to share and are ready to shape it into a picture book. Through an exploration of picture book fundamentals including structure, pacing, character, and vocabulary, you’ll learn how big emotions live inside small, carefully crafted stories. In a time that asks so much of us as writers and humans, this class welcomes your questions and nurtures your authentic voice. Each week will include guided lessons, writing time, and supportive workshops where we’ll get to know one another’s work and help each story take clearer shape. Open to both beginners and writers who have taken children’s writing classes before.

We want our writing classes and seminars to be accessible to everyone, regardless of income and background. We understand that our tuition structure can present obstacles for some people.
