Lynette Yetter is a Pushcart Prize nominated poet who first encountered a bust of Adela Zamudio in a park bearing her name in La Paz, Bolivia. Curious to learn more, since so few women are honored with monuments, Yetter read everything she could find by and about Adela Zamudio, culminating in a summa cum laude Reed College Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) thesis, and the 2023 PEN Award for Poetry in Translation finalist bilingual book Adela Zamudio: Selected Poetry & Prose (Fuente Fountain Books, 2022). Lynette Yetter is a panpipe-playing Buddhist lesbian artist and translator who shares her time between La Paz, Bolivia and the unceded indigenous territory temporarily called Portland, Oregon. www.LynetteYetter.com
Our events, classes, and seminars bring the community together to hear, learn, and discuss the most compelling issues and ideas of our day. We hope you will join us in our downtown Literary Arts space, online, and at partnering venues across Portland and Oregon.
