Stephanie Victoire (she/her) is an author, creative writing mentor and a workshop facilitator, born in London, UK, to a Mauritian-Creole family. Stephanie has published several works of fiction in literary anthologies in the UK and has featured in Portland’s Buckman Journal. She has commissioned and broadcast short works with BBC Radio, and published a collection of short stories, “The Other World, It Whispers”, which was longlisted for the Edge Hill Short Story Prize, the Saboteur Awards, and shortlisted for the DIVA Literary Awards.
Stephanie has been living in Portland since 2020, dedicating her passion for the craft and the connectivity and expansion of storytelling through 1:1 mentoring, and her facilitation of workshops and writing groups at spaces such as Up Up Books and IPRC where she leads the monthly community writing night.
Our events, classes, and seminars bring the community together to hear, learn, and discuss the most compelling issues and ideas of our day. We hope you will join us in our community space and bookstore at 716 SE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR, online, and at partnering venues across Portland and Oregon.
In this six-week course, we will develop stories we are not yet sure how to write and uncover just how effective and dynamic our unique storytelling can be. We’ll bring them to their fullest consideration by adventuring through our ideas and returning to the joy of imagination and invention.
