Can you really write a Spec-Fic story in 500 words or less? Yes. Yes, you can. Join me in the adaptable world of Drabble, Micro Fiction, and Vignette. Use artwork to prompt exploration into Spec-Fic lines of thinking: “What if…”, “If only…”, and “If this goes on…” It’s challenging but glorious here!

Dey Rivers is a non-binary Black american navigating mental health challenges, writing, painting, playing in fictional worlds and poetry through collective dreaming. Their work is in conversation with the past and present to imagine futures where they live on stolen land. Dey has an educational background in Fine Arts and mental health advocacy. They are currently revising a queer historical novel. Some shorter works can be read at: KhĂ´ra Issue 22, 23, 24 and 25.
