Portland Book Festival’s Independent Bookstore Partners

Every November, the Portland Book Festival presented by Bank of America brings thousands of readers together to hear from more than 100 writers publishing across all genres in an intergenerational celebration of books and stories. This year’s Festival will take place virtually from November 5-21, 2020.

Once again, we’ve partnered with four fantastic, Portland-based independent bookstores to make purchasing featured titles a breeze. Learn more about Annie Bloom’s Books, Broadway Books, Green Bean Books, and Powell’s Books below.

And remember: All books purchased through the Festival support the authors and publishers who share their work at the event and the booksellers who have worked hard to keep their businesses open during these difficult times. Annie Bloom’s Books is a neighborhood independent bookstore, in Multnomah Village within Portland, that first opened its doors in 1978. They carry a broad range of new books across many genres. Along with a strong fiction section, they excel in children’s/young adult, travel, current events, and cooking.

Broadway Books has been happily supplying books and more to readers in Northeast Portland and beyond since 1992. They mostly sell new books, but also have a selection of used books, and non-book items such as greeting cards, calendars, journals, games & puzzles, paintings, and holiday-specific items.

Green Bean Books is a wild and whimsical community-based, independent children’s bookstore in the Alberta Arts District of Portland. Their little red house is home to new books, used books, red books, blue books, books for babies through the most grownup grownup!

Powell’s Books is an independent bookseller serving Portland since 1971. Through Powells.com and their expansive online community, Powell’s also reaches readers around the world who are as excited about books as they are.
