Yallah! Muslims Write: Three Months to Publication

October 15th and 29th, November 12th and 26th, December 10th and 17th, Wednesdays, 6:00-8:00 p.m. (six sessions)

This is a workshop for self-identifying Muslim artists to join together in a joyful, supportive, and courageous community space to share their short fiction, non-fiction, poetry, or screenplays and receive feedback with the expressed goal of submitting their work for publication upon conclusion.

Writers will participate in generative freewriting exercises and have the opportunity to workshop their pieces (up to 25 pages, double-spaced), which will be submitted and shared one week in advance of the relevant session. Workshop dates will be scheduled via email and during gatherings.

“You are not a drop in the ocean; you are the entire ocean in a drop.” — Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī
