Romana Sena is a Filipina American artist and poet originally from Great Falls, Montana. Her most recent published poetry can be read alongside an art piece of hers featured in Significant Beings. Vol 1. Since 2020, Romana’s artwork and writing has primarily focused on her diaspora, using Asian Art mediums and techniques, and working with earth matter alongside recycled materials. She has been a teaching artist in Portland since 2021 and is currently offering paper-making workshops throughout Oregon. She is a member of Paisley Studios and East PDX Collective. Outside of teaching, you can find her face painting at the farmer’s market, riding her bike when it’s warm, hosting AANHPI co-working sessions at her studio, and supporting local bands.
