Literary Arts is a community-based nonprofit literary center located in Portland’s Central Eastside with more than a 40-year history of serving Oregon’s readers and writers. We provide 80,000 arts experiences for 43,000 people and reach 155,000 radio listeners each year.
The unique value of Literary Arts is that our programs build community around literature. We believe that there is an urgent need for us to bring together artists and audiences, students and adults, to share in the stories that tell us who we’ve been, who we are, and who we will be.
