The security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority.  Learn more about how we protect your personal information.

When you visit our website or call our Box Office, you will be invited to provide personal information in order to sign up for some of our services, such as our e-newsletter and our mailing list.  You may also purchase tickets, register for classes and make a donation to Literary Arts, at which time you will be asked for your credit card number and expiration date.

Use of information 

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in a variety of ways including but not limited to processing your transaction, improve our website and send periodic emails and mailings.  The email address you provide for order processing, may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, in addition to receiving occasional Literary Arts news, updates, and other related information.  If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

Security of Information 

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information that are in line with the industry standard security measures.

Cookies

We story a limited number of cookies to keep track of cart data. No personal information is stored within these cookies.

Third Parties 

Literary Arts does not sell or rent credit card information, individual names, postal and email addresses.  We do occasionally share postal mailing lists with other nonprofit arts organizations through a third party vendor.  To opt out of receiving third party mailings please contact us.

In addition, we may employ trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website and database, conducting our business, processing financial transactions and ticket sales, and otherwise servicing our supporters and members.  These parties have agreed to keep this information confidential.  We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party box offices and other services on our website.  These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies.  We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.  Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

To submit a request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, please contact us at la@literary-arts.org or by mail at the address below. We will respond to verified requests within 45 days as required by Oregon law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may require verification of both your identity and the agent’s authorization before processing such requests.
