Pronouns: she/her
As Senior Artistic Director, Amanda curates and directs the annual Portland Book Festival, as well as Portland Arts & Lectures and various large venue special events, and co-hosts and oversees production for The Archive Project radio show (broadcast weekly on statewide NPR affiliate, OPB) and podcast. Prior to joining Literary Arts in 2015, she was director of public programming at Housing Works Bookstore Cafe, a nonprofit social enterprise in New York City, where she curated, publicized, and produced 200+ events annually. She is the co-founder of Moby-Dick Marathon NYC, and has worked as a bookseller and in book production. Outside of bookish things, she enjoys a long hike, fiber arts (knitting, sewing, weaving), and ambitious cooking projects.
Our events, classes, and seminars bring the community together to hear, learn, and discuss the most compelling issues and ideas of our day. We hope you will join us in our community space and bookstore at 716 SE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR, online, and at partnering venues across Portland and Oregon.
