Pronouns: she/her
Moving from Salt Lake City, Utah in 2016, Denver Olmstead’s introduction to Literary Arts, and the city of Portland, began as the Volunteer Specialist for Portland Book Festival. Recruiting and working with the 300+ Festival volunteers, she finds inspiration in Literary Arts’ mission to engage readers. Denver received her Master of Science degree in Folklore focusing on how readers build community and understanding through stories. Outside the office she is a volunteer at a cat shelter, a storyteller, and a novice painter. When the weather allows, you may find her doing cartwheels on the beach, but more often than not she can be found at a coffee shop reading folktales or writing her own.
Our events, classes, and seminars bring the community together to hear, learn, and discuss the most compelling issues and ideas of our day. We hope you will join us in our downtown Literary Arts space, online, and at partnering venues across Portland and Oregon.
