Elizabeth T. Gray, Jr. is a poet, translator, and corporate consultant. Her poetry collections include the long poem Salient (New Directions 2020) and the poetic sequence Series | India (Four Way Books, 2015). Translations include Let Us Believe in the Beginning of the Cold Season, selected poems of modern Iranian poet Forough Farrokhzad (New Directions 2022), a finalist for the 2023 PEN Prize for Poetry in Translation, and Wine & Prayer, translations of classical Persian poet Hafez. She serves on the Boards of Kimbilio Fiction, Friends of Writers, The Beloit Poetry Journal Foundation, and of Human Rights and Democracy in Iran.
