Juan Antonio Trujillo Oregon

Juan Antonio (Tony) Trujillo is a queer Latino ex-Mormon from the Pacific Northwest. He is emeritus faculty in Language, Culture, and Society at Oregon State University and his work in applied linguistics and queer studies appears in edited volumes and professional journals. His new focus is short film, writing, and darkroom photography—all grounded in autoethnographic methodology but aimed at bringing a vulnerable and intimate perspective to intersectional queer experience. Tony resides in Portland where he organizes the annual Tag! Queer Shorts Festival and hones his permaculture skills at the base of Mount Tabor under the supervision of Ali the Bengal.
