Percival Everett is a Distinguished Professor of English at USC and the National Book Award winning author of James. His previous novels, Erasure, Dr. No, and The Trees, have been finalists for the Pulitzer, Booker, and National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction awards. In 2022 he received Yale’s Windham Campbell Prize. Everett resides in Los Angeles with his wife, author Danzy Senna, and their children.
