ON THE TENTH SEASON OF THE ARCHIVE PROJECT, ENJOY DISCUSSIONS FROM PORTLAND ARTS & LECTURES, PORTLAND BOOK FESTIVAL, AND OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS FROM OUR HOME IN PORTLAND, OREGON AND BEYOND.
Violeta Garza is the Community Outreach Librarian at Multnomah County Library. She was born in Texas to an all-Spanish-speaking family from Tamaulipas, Mexico. A career highlight was doing a Spanish presentation on YA literature booktubers to attendees of the La Paz International Book Fair in Bolivia. She is the current co-secretary of Reforma Oregon, a professional organization for librarians and library staff who serve Spanish-speaking and Latinx communities. She loves salsa, cilantro and crema on her tacos, but can’t roll her Spanish R’s to save her life.
Our events, classes, and seminars bring the community together to hear, learn, and discuss the most compelling issues and ideas of our day. We hope you will join us in our downtown Literary Arts space, online, and at partnering venues across Portland and Oregon.
