How to Start a Story: Three Purposeful Prompts to Serve Your Writing

Saturday, April 26, 1:00-2:00 p.m. (one session)
716 SE Grand Ave Portland, OR 97214

FREE TO ATTEND

In this free 1-hour pop-up workshop, participants will review three different types of writing prompts and explore how each of these types of prompts can serve their writing. Participants will then choose the prompt that speaks to them and complete a short writing exercise, with room to share reflections at the end. This session is especially useful for those who are trying to get started on a new story or feeling overwhelmed with where to begin.

This workshop is offered as part of Literary Arts’ Independent Bookstore Day celebrations. If you’ve ever wanted a small glimpse into what taking a writing class at Literary Arts might be like, this is your chance to find out!

No registration is required, though seating is limited. Please plan to arrive early to secure a spot.

Please reach out to Alexa Winik at alexa@literary-arts.org if you have questions.
