Seminar participants will receive one complimentary admission to the Corrib Theater’s production of Kissing the Witch.

In Kissing the Witch, Irish writer Emma Donoghue weaves a magical web of interconnected stories about female power and choosing one’s own path in the world. These age-old fairy tales are given a new spin as women, young and old, tell their own stories of love, hate, honor, revenge, passion, and transformation. We will first read the stories in Donoghue’s own collection Kissing the Witch. Then, we will read her theatrical adaptation, where she crafts the stories Beauty and the Beast, Donkeyskin, the Goose Girl, and the Little Mermaid into dramatic form.
