Last week we mentioned January 31st is the deadline to submit essays to Oregon Quarterly’s 2009 Northwest Perspectives Essay Contest.
Here are some deadlines that are more imminent:
December 31st is the deadline to enter the 3rd Annual Burnside Review Fiction Chapbook Competition. This year’s competition will be judged by Charles D’Ambrosio, Lannan award winning writer, who will always be an Oregon writer, even when he’s living in Iowa.
December 31st is also the deadline to enter the King’s English 2009 Blodgett Waxwing Literary Prize in Fiction. The King’s English is an online literary magazine based in Portland.
January 2 is the deadline for the Glimmer Train December Fiction Open. First place wins $2,000.
