The WITS reading for Open Meadow students was an intimate event at Cathedral Coffee on a Wednesday afternoon. An enormous glass overhead door created a beautiful backdrop of rain pouring down on trees and bright grass. In the warm, industrial space, students sat in a circle and shared the poetry they’d written and revised during a semester of working with poet Casey Fuller. An audience of teachers and friends was there to listen and applaud. As always, we were impressed by the writing these students produced and hope they’ll submit to the WITS anthology. Thanks so much to everyone who participated, and to Cathedral Coffee for being a fabulous host!
