Powell’s City of Books was packed on Tuesday, December 9 with more than one hundred audience members for the WITS Anthology and Digital Chapbook student reading! Twenty-two students and three WITS writers shared poetry, prose, and comics created during 2013-14 WITS residencies at public high schools throughout Portland. In addition to the print anthology, Language Made of Trees, we also had copies of the two volumes of digital chapbooks, The Artist Bellows, available in print for the first time ever thanks to the Espresso book machine!
Congratulations to all the students who have work published this year, and many thanks to our community of readers, writers, parents, teachers, and friends for helping us have such a great event!
