This year, WITS held the end-of-residency reading and celebration for Benson High School in the band room immediately after school on a Wednesday afternoon. The six students who shared their pieces had a large audience of their peers, teachers, and community members who listened intently and applauded each piece. We’d like to thank teachers Barry Cochran, Celeste Karzon, and Cesar Ramirez for hosting WITS writers Carmen Bernier Grand and Carter Sickels in their classrooms this past semester. Ms. Karzon joined in the reading, alongside students and both WITS writers. We had a great reading and are looking forward to receiving submissions for the WITS 2014-15 anthology!
