On Thursday, September 22nd, Abdulrazak Gurnah, winner of the 2021 Nobel Prize in Literature, was interviewed by OPB’s Dave Miller for the radio show Think Out Loud in front of a group of 45 students in the Ida B. Wells library.
Gurnah read from and discussed his latest novel, Afterlives, talked about the history of colonialism in East Africa, and shared a bit about his own experience of leaving his native Zanzibar for England. Listen to the episode of OPB’s Think Out Loud.
