Internship Opening: @Literary Arts Events

Literary Arts seeks an intern to assist with free events at our downtown center. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

POSITION: @Literary Arts Events Intern

DURATION: The internship would start not later than February 15, 2023 and last through mid-April 2023, roughly 5-10 hours a week, NOT EVERY WEEK. Specific events the intern would be working are listed below.  The internship would take place evenings, from 6PM to 9PM at Literary Arts at 925 SW Washington. This is an in-person internship.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with event set-up and take-down for approximately 12 events at our downtown office space.
  • Capture event photos for Literary Arts social media.
  • Record and upload events to Literary Arts YouTube.
  • Assist with event production at Oregon Book Awards ceremony on April 3, 2023

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in learning more about the nonprofit arts sector and events coordination.

3/22/23 Incite: Queer Writers Read

4/3/23 Oregon Book Awards

4/5/23 One Page Wednesday

And other events TBD.

COMPENSATION: This internship includes a stipend of $500, awarded at the end of the internship.
