KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

A New Family-Friendly Venue

This year, the Festival has added a venue exclusively dedicated to kids and families. Welcome to The Judy Kafoury Center for Youth Arts, home of the Northwest Children’s Theater!

And more!

SING-ALONG WITH EMILY ARROW

Emily Arrow is the Host with the Most!

The award-winning children’s musician and her ukulele return to the Portland Book Festival. Starting at 10:00 a.m., Emily will emcee storytimes in The Judy’s Family Cinema.

It’s all leading up to one final, rowdy, PBF-inspired sing-along in the cinema at 11:40 a.m.

See our full schedule of storytimes here!

ILLUSTRATOR DRAW-OFFS

Easels at the ready! Picture book and middle grade illustrators face off in live drawing competitions. The fierce contests kick off at 11:30 a.m. in The Judy’s Black Box. See our full schedule of illustrator events here!

And don’t miss Eoin Colfer, author of the Artemis Fowl series! Colfer will share his latest book, Juniper’s Christmas, and be in conversation with Oregon author Heidi Schulz. Catch this panel at 5:00 p.m. at the UCC venue. More info here.
