Literary Arts Welcomes New Board Members

Four new board members joined our Board of Directors this past December! Please join us in welcoming them:

Molly Ishkanian
Weinstein PR

Molly Ishkanian is the president of Weinstein PR, a Portland-based communications firm known for creative strategy, earned media expertise, and deep community roots. With a career spanning brand storytelling, crisis communications, and executive positioning, Molly brings sharp instincts and warmth to every client relationship. She leads a senior team that advises nonprofits, consumer brands, and corporate clients navigating moments of growth or change. Molly began her career at Snowbird Ski Resort, where she met her husband and longtime business partner. From there, she grew from Account Coordinator at R\West in Portland to overseeing a cross-coastal PR team as PR Director. Outside of work, she’s a dedicated mom of two, an enthusiastic skier, and a believer in the power of good stories well told.

Indira Nallakrishnan
Community Volunteer

Most recently, Indira Nallakrishnan served as a Trustee on the Catlin Gabel School Board for a decade and spent 7 of those years as Chair and Vice-Chair. She is currently on the Campaign Committee for the school. She is a member of the Knight Cancer Philanthropy Board providing leadership, advocacy, and support to help in the fight against cancer. She also serves on the Tufts University President’s Council and is a founding member of Women Impact Tufts, the university’s first women’s giving effort. She has worked at Mercy Corps in their University Pathways Program, helping individuals from the Global South seek mid-career educational opportunities in the United States and at the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, assisting Malaysian students pursuing higher studies.

Originally hailing from Southern California, Indira has called Portland, Oregon, home for the past 20 years. She has been an expatriate in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. She loves traveling with her husband and three adult children, walking through Forest Park with friends, escaping into books, and her love language definitely involves cooking for her extended family and friends. She deeply believes in Literary Arts and its transformational power to uplift communities and drive social change.

Jacqueline (Jackie) Willingham
Following retirement from her career at Standard Insurance Company, Jackie enjoys the opportunity to devote her time as a community volunteer and to pursue a variety of interests, especially in the arts, education and the humanities. Raised in California, she is a graduate of Willamette University in Salem. In addition to serving on the Board of Literary Arts Jackie is currently on the Board of Oregon Humanities. Jackie is an enthusiastic traveler, both near and far, an avid reader, enjoys time with family and friends and continues a long-term project to improve her proficiency in French.
