All Portland Book Festival (PBF) events require a General Admission Pass (wristband) to attend, including the two ticketed events at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, and the five events in the Newmark Theatre that have optional book add-on tickets.
HOW TO BUY PASSES
- Purchase your Portland Book Festival passes online
- Passes are $18 if purchased before 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 7.
- Passes purchased day-of the festival cost $25 when purchased the day-of PBF at the Box Office tent (open 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) and The Judy box office location (open 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
- Full price advance and day-of tickets include admission to the Portland Art Museum and a $5 voucher to use at the festival book fair.
- For veterans, active military and youth 17 & under (or with a valid high school ID), passes are FREE. Please plan to show proof of ID when you pick up your wristband. ($5 voucher not included in discounted price.)
- $5 Arts for All passes are available for those with SNAP/ Oregon Trail / Washington State Quest Cards. Please plan to show proof of card when you pick up your wristband. ($5 voucher not included in discounted price.)
- Passes are $18 if purchased before 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 7.
- After purchasing passes online, an email will come from support@aftontickets.com with the subject line “Your Ticket(s) for Portland Book Festival 2025” followed by your purchase confirmation number.
- Please save these e-tickets to your mobile device or provide a print-at-home PDF (downloaded to mobile device or printed) so they can be scanned when picking up your wristbands.
PICKING UP YOUR WRISTBANDS
Once you have purchased your passes online, you will need to pick up a wristband before entering into any Portland Book Festival venue.
Advance Box Office Information
- Pick up your wristband before the day-of PBF at our Advance Box Office at Literary Arts HQ: 716 SE Grand Ave on Tuesday, November 4 or Thursday, November 6 between Noon – 7:00 p.m.
- Umbrella Pass ticket holder, VIP pass ticket holders, and other Reader’s Night attendees can also pick up their wristbands on Friday, November 7 at Reader’s Night, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Day-of PBF wristband pick-up information
- For wristband pick-up on the day-of PBF (Saturday, November 8) please go to the Box Office tent outside the Portland Art Museum (Mark Building: 1119 SW Park Ave). The Box Office tent opens at 8:00 a.m. A satellite box office will be located at The Judy venue, with limited hours from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Please plan to pick up your wristbands at least half an hour before the first event you want to attend.

REBECCA YARROS EVENT ENTRY INFORMATION: BOOK-TICKETS AND ADA
VIP and book-ticket holders, will enter the venue through the FRONT doors of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Broadway Ave. ADA access is also through the front Broadway Avenue doors, and may enter through the VIP entrance to skip the line, regardless of ticket-level purchase.
Your signed copy of ONYX STORM will be available for pick up inside the lobby of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall before the start of the event.
Seating for VIP, book-ticket holders, and those requiring ADA access will be on the Orchestra-level of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Seating is general admission in these sections.
Volunteers will be on site to assist with guidance.
REBECCA YARROS EVENT ENTRY INFORMATION: GENERAL ADMISSION (No book)
If you have a general admission ticket for the Rebecca Yarros event, you will enter the REAR doors of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on Park Ave. Doors to the venue will open at 9:00 a.m.
Volunteers will be on site to assist with guidance on lines.
ADA access is through the FRONT of the venue Broadway Avenue doors. Those requiring extra assistance may enter through the VIP entrance to skip the line, regardless of ticket-level purchase.
Seating for those with general admission (no book) tickets will be in the Dress Circle, Mezzanine, and Balcony sections of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Seating is general admission, first-come-first served in these areas. Our ushers will be asking you to fill rows from the center to the aisles for ease of traffic flow.

If you purchased a book-ticket, you signed copy of CODED JUSTICE will be available for pick up inside the lobby of the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall before the start of the event.

NEWMARK THEATRE BOOK ADD-ON TICKET INFORMATION






Those who purchased a book add-on for any of the five authors at the Newmark Stage must present proof of book purchase, either on your mobile device or printed out, to collect their book and access reserved section (GA seating) towards the front of the Newmark Theatre. You MUST pick up your wristband before you can enter any of these events, in addition to presenting your add-on proof of purchase.
Add-on scanning and book pickup will be located on the 2nd floor of Portland’5 Antoinette Hatfield Hall venue at 1111 SW Broadway, outside the Newmark Theatre doors. NOTE: admission to the Newmark Stage events are not limited to add-on book ticket holders. The book add-on allows access to the front-of-hall reserved section. The standard PBF general admission wristband allows access to the non-reserved sections of the hall. All seating is general admission (first-come first-served) for both sections. Ushers and volunteers will assist with guidance.

Please go to the Box Office tent outside the Portland Art Museum (Mark Building). The Box Office tent opens at 8:00 a.m. Please plan to arrive at least half an hour before the first event you want to attend. Please note that there is a cap on wristbands and we may sell out on or before PBF.
A satellite box office located at The Judy (1000 SW Broadway) will be open for wristband pickup and sales with limited hours, from 9:30 a.m. — 2:00 p.m.
Please note: ALL attendees must pick up a wristband before entering any festival venue. We recommend you pick up your wristband in advance; if you pick up day-of, we recommend arriving at least thirty minutes prior to the first event you want to attend in order to first visit the Box Office and pick up your wristband.
